Design enthusiasts are always on the hunt for furniture that speaks volumes, but few pieces can make as big a statement than an antique side table reproduction by Laurel Crown. Our specialty craftsmen have worked hard to replicate the elegant quality associated with the Sheraton furniture period. Our Sheraton side table will make a graceful and tasteful accent to any room in your home.
The Sheraton era was also known as the Federal period. Furniture produced from the late 1700s to the early 1800s was of a neoclassical quality. Thomas Sheraton, the cabinetmaker for which this inspirational era was named, preferred satinwood, beech, and mahogany woods. We use Honduran mahogany to construct our signature Sheraton side table because it is less brittle than soft pines and more flexible than hard oaks. The delightful reddish-brown hues can complement a wide variety of woods or materials, so don’t be afraid to mix and match to create a stunning focal point.
Each antique end table we reproduce is carved, sanded, and finished by hand with great care and careful attention to detail. Our antique side table includes an array of sophisticated features that will add an old-world charm wherever you decide to place it. Use it as an occasional table in your foyer, living room, or office, and enjoy:
- Classic mahogany grain and medium texture, all accentuated by a satin semi-gloss finish
- Intricately hand-carved, tapered legs for stability and undisputed sophistication
- Slimmer, more refined style than Queen Anne or Chippendale furniture
Our story began out of a passion for the Chippendale style of furniture, but our repertoire has grown to include many of the famous furniture styles throughout the last several centuries. Best of all, each antique end table is eligible for customization. Many of our loyal customers want something unique for their own.
