Have you been hoping to add a touch of history to your bedroom or living room? There is nothing quite like a quality antique reproduction. Laurel Crown's small antique side tables are lovingly made with the utmost attention to detail, so you can enjoy an heirloom worthy of being passed on to future generations. The Federal-era followed the Revolutionary War, moving away from the ornate furnishings of the past and adapting them to embrace Neoclassical details. These exquisite pieces were beloved for their clean lines and delicate forms.
Each Federal side table we offer is carved, sanded, and finished by one of our skilled craftsmen, who use old-world carpentry techniques to ensure the highest level of authenticity and heirloom quality. We also use Honduran mahogany, which was used to build a wide variety of Hepplewhite, Sheraton, and Duncan Phyfe furnishings during the same time period. Honduran mahogany boasts a medium texture and straight grain that will glow beneath the satin semi-gloss finish we chose to protect the beautiful wood from cracking or warping over time.
Every Federal-style side table we reproduce features:
- Two drawers to keep odds and ends out of view
- One lower shelf for extra, open storage space
- Tapered legs that terminate to small yet sturdy feet
If our small antique side tables aren't quite what you need to redecorate your home, we have the perfect solution. You can request a custom finishing option and change the stain to match other wood tones found throughout your home. We offer an array of wood stains and finishing options, so your new Federal side table can complement cherry, rosewood, walnut, pine, oak, or other wood tones.
