We use only the finest Honduran mahogany, because it is less brittle than pine but more flexible than oak. Mahogany features a lovely reddish-brown hue that you can expect to darken over time, but it also seems to glow beneath the satin semi-gloss finish we use to protect the wood from warping or cracking. We added miniature floral carvings, a serpentine seat, cabriole legs that terminate to scroll feet, and so much more.
